Job Description

You'll run local delivery routes around Ballito for a waste management contractor, dropping 10 to 20 stops a day. It's the kind of job where doing the basics well every day gets you noticed.

Location: Ballito, KwaZulu-Natal. Applicants who already live in the area get looked at first.

The work, day to day

Operate the truck-mounted crane to offload bricks or pallets
Keep empties and returns separate for credit
Fill in the trip sheet with kilometres, fuel and stops
Get signed invoices back to the office at the end of each day
Collect cash or cheques on COD deliveries and bank them correctly
Check the load against invoices before signing it out

Must-haves

Friendly and professional with customers
Valid Code 10 (C1) licence
Valid PrDP for goods (G)
Honest with cash and customer goods
At least 2 years driving rigid trucks

Helpful, not essential

Experience on a sales-and-delivery route
Speaking local languages on township routes
