Job Description

Customers across Boksburg wait on your truck, so a waste management contractor needs someone reliable behind the wheel. You don't need to be the loudest person in the room, just the one others can count on.

You'll be based at a waste management contractor in Boksburg. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps. Start is planned for the beginning of next month.

What you'll actually do

Manage your assistant on the truck and share the offloading
Plan your drop order with the dispatch clerk each morning
Deliver to shops, sites and homes on your route
Keep empties and returns separate for credit
Get signed invoices back to the office at the end of each day

Must-haves

Clean driving record
Valid PrDP for goods (G)
Honest with cash and customer goods
Friendly and professional with customers
At least 2 years driving rigid trucks
Valid Code 10 (C1) licence

Helpful, not essential

Crane or HIAB operator certificate
Code 14 licence (a step up)

On offer

Delivery incentive per completed route
Company-paid PrDP renewals
Overtime on month-end and peak days

Applying, step by step

Read the "What you need" list above. If you tick most of it, go ahead and apply.
Get these ready, because shortlisted people are asked for them straight away: ID copy and proof of residence plus Code 10 licence and PrDP card copies.
Use the form on this page. It takes about two minutes and you don't need to upload anything yet.
If you're shortlisted you'll hear from us within 8 working days, usually by phone.

How2Apply recruits for this position on behalf of hiring employers around Boksburg; applications go into our talent pool and shortlisted candidates are introduced directly.

How2Apply never charges you to apply, for training, for uniforms or for a "placement fee". If anyone asks you for money, it is a scam.

Before you hit apply

Name the areas you know well. A driver who already knows the route saves the company money from day one.
Mention cash handling if you have done COD deliveries. Honest cash drivers are what distributors worry about most.
