Job Description

Home every night: a frozen food distributor in Isando needs a steady Code 10 driver for daily routes. If you learn fast and don't mind being shown things twice, you'll settle in within a few weeks.

Location: Isando, Gauteng. Applicants who already live in the area get looked at first. The first two weeks are spent shadowing someone experienced.

What your day looks like

Get signed invoices back to the office at the end of each day
Check the load against invoices before signing it out
Fill in the trip sheet with kilometres, fuel and stops
Collect cash or cheques on COD deliveries and bank them correctly
Check the truck's oil, water, tyres and lights before leaving
Manage your assistant on the truck and share the offloading

You'll need

Valid Code 10 (C1) licence
Clean driving record
Honest with cash and customer goods
Friendly and professional with customers
Good knowledge of roads in and around the city

Extra points for

Speaking local languages on township routes
Experience on a sales-and-delivery route
