Job Description

Drive, deliver, get the signature, next stop: this is route work for a beverage wholesaler in Vereeniging. You'll work with a small crew, so being easy to work with matters as much as skill.

The site is in Vereeniging; early starts mean public transport timing matters, so check your route before applying.

The work, day to day

Keep empties and returns separate for credit
Plan your drop order with the dispatch clerk each morning
Collect cash or cheques on COD deliveries and bank them correctly
Fill in the trip sheet with kilometres, fuel and stops
Get signed invoices back to the office at the end of each day
Operate the truck-mounted crane to offload bricks or pallets

You'll need

Friendly and professional with customers
Clean driving record
Valid Code 10 (C1) licence
At least 2 years driving rigid trucks
Good knowledge of roads in and around the city
Honest with cash and customer goods

Nice if you have

Crane or HIAB operator certificate
Speaking local languages on township routes
