Mine Bus Driver (Shift Transport)

You'll carry passengers safely around Rosslyn for a school transport operator, on time and by the timetable. People who do well here are steady, honest and not scared to ask when something is unclear.

You'll be based at a school transport operator in Rosslyn. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps. Most weeks are 45 hours, in line with the BCEA.

• Keep the bus clean inside and report any damage
• Inspect the bus before each trip: tyres, brakes, doors, emergency exits
• Handle breakdowns calmly and keep passengers safe until help arrives
• Follow speed limits strictly; buses are tracked
• Give tourists a friendly welcome and help with luggage on charters

• Clean driving and criminal record
• At least 3 years of bus or taxi driving
• Valid PrDP for passengers (P)
• Medically fit
• Valid Code 10 or Code 14 licence
• Punctual for very early starts

• First-aid certificate
• Tour coach experience with charters

• Paid passenger PrDP renewal
• Tips and trip allowances on tour charters
• Split-shift allowance on staff transport routes

• Write "PrDP P valid until" with the date, right at the top of your CV. It is the first thing a bus operator checks.
• Mention the number of passengers you have driven and the vehicle type, like "65-seater" or "22-seater midibus".
