Job Description

You'll run local delivery routes around Sandton for a furniture retailer, dropping 10 to 20 stops a day. It's the kind of job where doing the basics well every day gets you noticed.

This post is Sandton-based, with most of your time spent at a furniture retailer.

What your day looks like

Report damaged goods or refused deliveries straight away
Check the load against invoices before signing it out
Collect cash or cheques on COD deliveries and bank them correctly
Fill in the trip sheet with kilometres, fuel and stops
Operate the truck-mounted crane to offload bricks or pallets

What you need

Honest with cash and customer goods
Friendly and professional with customers
At least 2 years driving rigid trucks
Valid Code 10 (C1) licence
Good knowledge of roads in and around the city
Clean driving record
