Full-time Driving & Transport Code 10

R10 000 – R12 500/month

Apply for this job

Job Description

Home every night: a furniture retailer in Mahikeng needs a steady Code 10 driver for daily routes. Someone who likes a bit of variety, but also likes doing things the right way, will enjoy this.

You'll be based at a furniture retailer in Mahikeng. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps.

What you'll actually do

Deliver to shops, sites and homes on your route
Check the truck's oil, water, tyres and lights before leaving
Check the load against invoices before signing it out
Collect cash or cheques on COD deliveries and bank them correctly
Plan your drop order with the dispatch clerk each morning

Must-haves

Valid Code 10 (C1) licence
At least 2 years driving rigid trucks
Good knowledge of roads in and around the city
Honest with cash and customer goods

What you get

Home every night
Delivery incentive per completed route
Company-paid PrDP renewals
Overtime on month-end and peak days

Applying, step by step

Make sure the role, the hours and working in Mahikeng really suit you before you apply.
Get these ready, because shortlisted people are asked for them straight away: Code 10 licence and PrDP card copies, references from delivery or distribution jobs plus ID copy and proof of residence.
Fill in the short form below with your name and a phone number you actually answer.
Keep your phone on. Shortlisted applicants are contacted by call, SMS or WhatsApp within 5 working days.

Your application joins the How2Apply talent pool for this role, and we put shortlisted people forward to employers hiring in and around Mahikeng.

How2Apply never charges you to apply, for training, for uniforms or for a "placement fee". If anyone asks you for money, it is a scam.

Before you hit apply

Mention cash handling if you have done COD deliveries. Honest cash drivers are what distributors worry about most.
Name the areas you know well. A driver who already knows the route saves the company money from day one.
