Fleet Tracking Controller (Night Shift) – Fixed-Term

You'll plan the loads and watch the trucks for a bus and coach operator in Rustenburg, keeping every trip on time. Someone who likes a bit of variety, but also likes doing things the right way, will enjoy this.

This post is Rustenburg-based, with most of your time spent at a bus and coach operator. Weekend work is on a roster, so you won't be on every weekend.

• Compile daily reports on trips completed and late deliveries
• Book vehicle services, licence renewals and roadworthy tests
• Assign trucks and drivers to routes and track them on telematics
• Check driver hours so nobody drives too long without rest
• Arrange breakdown recovery and replacement vehicles
• Update customers on delivery times and delays
• Phone drivers when trucks stop too long or go off-route

• Able to work shifts in a 24-hour control office
• Calm and decisive when things go wrong
• Clear on the phone with drivers and customers
• Good with Excel and email
• Matric
• Knowledge of South African road freight regulations

• Knowledge of cross-border documentation
• Experience on a vehicle telematics platform
• Logistics or supply chain certificate

• Training on the fleet and tracking systems
