Code 10 Delivery Driver (Rigid Truck)

Home every night: a building-supplies merchant in Benoni needs a steady Code 10 driver for daily routes. You'll work with a small crew, so being easy to work with matters as much as skill.

The work is in Benoni, Gauteng, so you'll need a reliable way to get there every day. Weekend work is on a roster, so you won't be on every weekend.

• Plan your drop order with the dispatch clerk each morning
• Manage your assistant on the truck and share the offloading
• Get signed invoices back to the office at the end of each day
• Fill in the trip sheet with kilometres, fuel and stops
• Check the load against invoices before signing it out
• Collect cash or cheques on COD deliveries and bank them correctly
• Check the truck's oil, water, tyres and lights before leaving

• Valid PrDP for goods (G)
• Valid Code 10 (C1) licence
• At least 2 years driving rigid trucks
• Friendly and professional with customers
• Honest with cash and customer goods
• Good knowledge of roads in and around the city

• Experience on a sales-and-delivery route
• Code 14 licence (a step up)

• Overtime on month-end and peak days
• Company-paid PrDP renewals
• Home every night

• If your PrDP expires soon, renew it before applying. An expired PrDP is an automatic no.
