Job Description

You'll run local delivery routes around Johannesburg CBD for a waste management contractor, dropping 10 to 20 stops a day. It's a practical job: you'll see what you got done before you go home.

The work is in Johannesburg CBD, Gauteng, so you'll need a reliable way to get there every day. Start date: as soon as possible for the right person.

The work, day to day

Manage your assistant on the truck and share the offloading
Check the load against invoices before signing it out
Collect cash or cheques on COD deliveries and bank them correctly
Check the truck's oil, water, tyres and lights before leaving
Fill in the trip sheet with kilometres, fuel and stops

You'll need

Clean driving record
Honest with cash and customer goods
Good knowledge of roads in and around the city
Friendly and professional with customers

Extra points for

Speaking local languages on township routes
Crane or HIAB operator certificate
Experience on a sales-and-delivery route
