Code 10 Delivery Driver (Rigid Truck) – Fixed-Term

You'll run local delivery routes around Klerksdorp for a building-supplies merchant, dropping 10 to 20 stops a day. It suits someone who likes knowing exactly what a good day's work looks like.

This post is Klerksdorp-based, with most of your time spent at a building-supplies merchant.

• Fill in the trip sheet with kilometres, fuel and stops
• Deliver to shops, sites and homes on your route
• Manage your assistant on the truck and share the offloading
• Check the load against invoices before signing it out
• Check the truck's oil, water, tyres and lights before leaving
• Plan your drop order with the dispatch clerk each morning
• Report damaged goods or refused deliveries straight away

• At least 2 years driving rigid trucks
• Honest with cash and customer goods
• Good knowledge of roads in and around the city
• Valid Code 10 (C1) licence
• Valid PrDP for goods (G)

• Crane or HIAB operator certificate
• Experience on a sales-and-delivery route
• Code 14 licence (a step up)

• Overtime on month-end and peak days
• Delivery incentive per completed route
• Company-paid PrDP renewals
• Home every night

• If your PrDP expires soon, renew it before applying. An expired PrDP is an automatic no.
• Name the areas you know well. A driver who already knows the route saves the company money from day one.
