Code 10 Delivery Driver (Rigid Truck) – Experienced

You'll run local delivery routes around Midrand for a waste management contractor, dropping 10 to 20 stops a day. This role rewards consistency more than flash.

This post is Midrand-based, with most of your time spent at a waste management contractor. Most weeks are 45 hours, in line with the BCEA.

• Report damaged goods or refused deliveries straight away
• Get signed invoices back to the office at the end of each day
• Collect cash or cheques on COD deliveries and bank them correctly
• Deliver to shops, sites and homes on your route
• Manage your assistant on the truck and share the offloading

• Clean driving record
• Friendly and professional with customers
• Valid PrDP for goods (G)
• Valid Code 10 (C1) licence
• Honest with cash and customer goods

• Speaking local languages on township routes
• Crane or HIAB operator certificate
• Experience on a sales-and-delivery route

• Company-paid PrDP renewals
• Home every night
• Overtime on month-end and peak days
• Delivery incentive per completed route

• Name the areas you know well. A driver who already knows the route saves the company money from day one.
• Mention cash handling if you have done COD deliveries. Honest cash drivers are what distributors worry about most.
