Code 10 Driver (Beverage Distribution)

Home every night: a furniture retailer in Benoni needs a steady Code 10 driver for daily routes. Someone who likes a bit of variety, but also likes doing things the right way, will enjoy this.

You'll report in Benoni. Relocation is not covered for this one. The first two weeks are spent shadowing someone experienced.

• Keep empties and returns separate for credit
• Collect cash or cheques on COD deliveries and bank them correctly
• Operate the truck-mounted crane to offload bricks or pallets
• Get signed invoices back to the office at the end of each day
• Report damaged goods or refused deliveries straight away
• Check the truck's oil, water, tyres and lights before leaving

• Valid PrDP for goods (G)
• Clean driving record
• Friendly and professional with customers
• Valid Code 10 (C1) licence

• Company-paid PrDP renewals
• Delivery incentive per completed route
• Home every night

• Mention cash handling if you have done COD deliveries. Honest cash drivers are what distributors worry about most.
• Name the areas you know well. A driver who already knows the route saves the company money from day one.
