Job Description

You'll run local delivery routes around Mamelodi for a frozen food distributor, dropping 10 to 20 stops a day. Bring a calm head on busy days and you'll be fine.

Home base is a frozen food distributor on the Mamelodi side of Gauteng.

The work, day to day

Plan your drop order with the dispatch clerk each morning
Check the load against invoices before signing it out
Fill in the trip sheet with kilometres, fuel and stops
Check the truck's oil, water, tyres and lights before leaving
Keep empties and returns separate for credit
Get signed invoices back to the office at the end of each day

You'll need

Valid Code 10 (C1) licence
Valid PrDP for goods (G)
Honest with cash and customer goods
At least 2 years driving rigid trucks
Clean driving record
Good knowledge of roads in and around the city

Nice if you have

Experience on a sales-and-delivery route
Speaking local languages on township routes
