Job Description

Customers across Mthatha wait on your truck, so a furniture retailer needs someone reliable behind the wheel. This is a good step for someone who wants proper routine and a manager who notices good work.

Location: Mthatha, Eastern Cape. Applicants who already live in the area get looked at first.

The work, day to day

Report damaged goods or refused deliveries straight away
Keep empties and returns separate for credit
Fill in the trip sheet with kilometres, fuel and stops
Operate the truck-mounted crane to offload bricks or pallets
Deliver to shops, sites and homes on your route

You'll need

Good knowledge of roads in and around the city
Valid PrDP for goods (G)
Valid Code 10 (C1) licence
Friendly and professional with customers
Clean driving record

Helpful, not essential

Code 14 licence (a step up)
Experience on a sales-and-delivery route
