Job Description

You'll run local delivery routes around Brakpan for a frozen food distributor, dropping 10 to 20 stops a day. This role rewards consistency more than flash.

You'll be based at a frozen food distributor in Brakpan. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps.

The work, day to day

Operate the truck-mounted crane to offload bricks or pallets
Check the load against invoices before signing it out
Fill in the trip sheet with kilometres, fuel and stops
Keep empties and returns separate for credit
Collect cash or cheques on COD deliveries and bank them correctly
Report damaged goods or refused deliveries straight away
Plan your drop order with the dispatch clerk each morning

Must-haves

Clean driving record
Good knowledge of roads in and around the city
At least 2 years driving rigid trucks
Valid Code 10 (C1) licence
Valid PrDP for goods (G)
Friendly and professional with customers

Extra points for

Speaking local languages on township routes
Code 14 licence (a step up)
