Code 10 Driver (Frozen Foods Route)

Customers across Khayelitsha wait on your truck, so a furniture retailer needs someone reliable behind the wheel. You don't need to be the loudest person in the room, just the one others can count on.

This post is in Khayelitsha (Western Cape). Please only apply if you can travel there daily. Weekend work is on a roster, so you won't be on every weekend.

• Fill in the trip sheet with kilometres, fuel and stops
• Operate the truck-mounted crane to offload bricks or pallets
• Check the truck's oil, water, tyres and lights before leaving
• Keep empties and returns separate for credit
• Collect cash or cheques on COD deliveries and bank them correctly

• Good knowledge of roads in and around the city
• At least 2 years driving rigid trucks
• Clean driving record
• Friendly and professional with customers
• Valid Code 10 (C1) licence

• Code 14 licence (a step up)
• Crane or HIAB operator certificate
• Speaking local languages on township routes

• Delivery incentive per completed route
• Company-paid PrDP renewals
• Overtime on month-end and peak days
• Home every night

• If your PrDP expires soon, renew it before applying. An expired PrDP is an automatic no.
• Name the areas you know well. A driver who already knows the route saves the company money from day one.
