Job Description

You'll run local delivery routes around Roodepoort for a waste management contractor, dropping 10 to 20 stops a day. Bring a calm head on busy days and you'll be fine.

Home base is a waste management contractor on the Roodepoort side of Gauteng. Hours are mostly Monday to Friday, with the odd Saturday in busy months.

The work, day to day

Check the truck's oil, water, tyres and lights before leaving
Deliver to shops, sites and homes on your route
Check the load against invoices before signing it out
Fill in the trip sheet with kilometres, fuel and stops
Operate the truck-mounted crane to offload bricks or pallets
Collect cash or cheques on COD deliveries and bank them correctly

You'll need

Friendly and professional with customers
Good knowledge of roads in and around the city
Clean driving record
Honest with cash and customer goods
Valid PrDP for goods (G)
Valid Code 10 (C1) licence

Helpful, not essential

Experience on a sales-and-delivery route
Crane or HIAB operator certificate
