Job Description

Trucks, drivers, loads and deadlines all meet on your screen at a distribution depot in Krugersdorp. You'll work with a small crew, so being easy to work with matters as much as skill.

This post is Krugersdorp-based, with most of your time spent at a distribution depot.

What you'll actually do

Keep a register of PrDP and licence expiry dates for all drivers
Book vehicle services, licence renewals and roadworthy tests
Capture trip sheets, fuel and toll costs on the system
Update customers on delivery times and delays
Arrange breakdown recovery and replacement vehicles

What you need

Matric
Knowledge of South African road freight regulations
Good with Excel and email
Able to work shifts in a 24-hour control office
Calm and decisive when things go wrong
At least 2 years in transport or logistics

Nice if you have

Knowledge of cross-border documentation
Transport management system (TMS) experience
