Code 10 Driver (Waste Collection Truck)

Home every night: a building-supplies merchant in Mokopane needs a steady Code 10 driver for daily routes. This role rewards consistency more than flash.

This post is Mokopane-based, with most of your time spent at a building-supplies merchant. Start date: as soon as possible for the right person.

• Plan your drop order with the dispatch clerk each morning
• Keep empties and returns separate for credit
• Collect cash or cheques on COD deliveries and bank them correctly
• Manage your assistant on the truck and share the offloading
• Check the load against invoices before signing it out
• Check the truck's oil, water, tyres and lights before leaving

• Honest with cash and customer goods
• At least 2 years driving rigid trucks
• Clean driving record
• Friendly and professional with customers
• Good knowledge of roads in and around the city
• Valid Code 10 (C1) licence

• Crane or HIAB operator certificate
• Experience on a sales-and-delivery route

• Company-paid PrDP renewals
• Delivery incentive per completed route
• Overtime on month-end and peak days

• Name the areas you know well. A driver who already knows the route saves the company money from day one.
• Mention cash handling if you have done COD deliveries. Honest cash drivers are what distributors worry about most.
