Job Description

Customers across Cape Town CBD wait on your truck, so a building-supplies merchant needs someone reliable behind the wheel. People who do well here are steady, honest and not scared to ask when something is unclear.

The work is in Cape Town CBD, Western Cape, so you'll need a reliable way to get there every day. Start is planned for the beginning of next month.

What your day looks like

Fill in the trip sheet with kilometres, fuel and stops
Plan your drop order with the dispatch clerk each morning
Keep empties and returns separate for credit
Check the load against invoices before signing it out
Report damaged goods or refused deliveries straight away
Operate the truck-mounted crane to offload bricks or pallets
Manage your assistant on the truck and share the offloading

You'll need

Clean driving record
At least 2 years driving rigid trucks
Valid PrDP for goods (G)
Friendly and professional with customers
Valid Code 10 (C1) licence
Honest with cash and customer goods

On offer

Overtime on month-end and peak days
Home every night
Company-paid PrDP renewals
