Code 10 Furniture Delivery Driver

Drive, deliver, get the signature, next stop: this is route work for a furniture retailer in Khayelitsha. You'll work with a small crew, so being easy to work with matters as much as skill.

Home base is a furniture retailer on the Khayelitsha side of Western Cape. Shifts rotate, so you'll need to be flexible about days and nights.

• Keep empties and returns separate for credit
• Deliver to shops, sites and homes on your route
• Collect cash or cheques on COD deliveries and bank them correctly
• Report damaged goods or refused deliveries straight away
• Check the truck's oil, water, tyres and lights before leaving

• Valid PrDP for goods (G)
• Valid Code 10 (C1) licence
• At least 2 years driving rigid trucks
• Honest with cash and customer goods

• Experience on a sales-and-delivery route
• Crane or HIAB operator certificate
• Code 14 licence (a step up)

• Company-paid PrDP renewals
• Home every night
• Overtime on month-end and peak days
• Delivery incentive per completed route

• Mention cash handling if you have done COD deliveries. Honest cash drivers are what distributors worry about most.
• If your PrDP expires soon, renew it before applying. An expired PrDP is an automatic no.
