Job Description

Drive, deliver, get the signature, next stop: this is route work for a furniture retailer in Alberton. If you turn up on time and finish what you start, you'll fit in quickly.

Home base is a furniture retailer on the Alberton side of Gauteng.

The work, day to day

Fill in the trip sheet with kilometres, fuel and stops
Collect cash or cheques on COD deliveries and bank them correctly
Check the truck's oil, water, tyres and lights before leaving
Check the load against invoices before signing it out
Report damaged goods or refused deliveries straight away

What you need

Clean driving record
At least 2 years driving rigid trucks
Valid PrDP for goods (G)
Good knowledge of roads in and around the city
Honest with cash and customer goods

Nice if you have

Speaking local languages on township routes
Crane or HIAB operator certificate
Experience on a sales-and-delivery route
