Job Description

Customers across East London wait on your truck, so a furniture retailer needs someone reliable behind the wheel. Expect to be trusted with real work from your first week.

You'll report in East London. Relocation is not covered for this one.

What your day looks like

Check the truck's oil, water, tyres and lights before leaving
Check the load against invoices before signing it out
Operate the truck-mounted crane to offload bricks or pallets
Fill in the trip sheet with kilometres, fuel and stops
Report damaged goods or refused deliveries straight away

Must-haves

At least 2 years driving rigid trucks
Friendly and professional with customers
Good knowledge of roads in and around the city
Valid PrDP for goods (G)
Valid Code 10 (C1) licence
Honest with cash and customer goods

Nice if you have

Code 14 licence (a step up)
Speaking local languages on township routes
