Job Description

You'll run local delivery routes around Vereeniging for a building-supplies merchant, dropping 10 to 20 stops a day. If you like clear targets and knowing where you stand, this is for you.

The site is in Vereeniging; early starts mean public transport timing matters, so check your route before applying. Shifts rotate, so you'll need to be flexible about days and nights.

What your day looks like

Check the truck's oil, water, tyres and lights before leaving
Report damaged goods or refused deliveries straight away
Keep empties and returns separate for credit
Plan your drop order with the dispatch clerk each morning
Collect cash or cheques on COD deliveries and bank them correctly

What you need

Good knowledge of roads in and around the city
Clean driving record
Friendly and professional with customers
Valid Code 10 (C1) licence

Helpful, not essential

Experience on a sales-and-delivery route
Code 14 licence (a step up)
Speaking local languages on township routes
