Code 10 Tipper Driver (Sand and Stone)

You'll run local delivery routes around Worcester for a waste management contractor, dropping 10 to 20 stops a day. If you turn up on time and finish what you start, you'll fit in quickly.

The work is in Worcester, Western Cape, so you'll need a reliable way to get there every day. The first two weeks are spent shadowing someone experienced.

• Manage your assistant on the truck and share the offloading
• Operate the truck-mounted crane to offload bricks or pallets
• Get signed invoices back to the office at the end of each day
• Keep empties and returns separate for credit
• Fill in the trip sheet with kilometres, fuel and stops
• Plan your drop order with the dispatch clerk each morning

• Good knowledge of roads in and around the city
• Valid PrDP for goods (G)
• Clean driving record
• Valid Code 10 (C1) licence

• Honest with cash and customer goods

• Overtime on month-end and peak days

• Mention cash handling if you have done COD deliveries. Honest cash drivers are what distributors worry about most.
• If your PrDP expires soon, renew it before applying. An expired PrDP is an automatic no.
