Job Description

Experienced Code 14 drivers are in short supply, and a coal haulage contractor in Boksburg is hiring. People who do well here are steady, honest and not scared to ask when something is unclear.

The work is in Boksburg, Gauteng, so you'll need a reliable way to get there every day. Hours are mostly Monday to Friday, with the odd Saturday in busy months.

What you'll actually do

Keep the logbook and tachograph or telematics records up to date
Check reefer temperatures and record them on cold-chain loads
Deliver to customers and get proof-of-delivery signed and stamped
Do a full pre-trip inspection: tyres, brakes, lights, couplings and fluids
Drive planned routes and stop only at approved truck stops

What you need

Valid Code 14 (EC) licence
Able to be away from home for several nights at a time
Passport for cross-border routes
At least 3 years on Code 14 trucks
