Job Description

The road is your office with a fuel distribution fleet based in Pretoria West, and the load gets there because of you. It's a practical job: you'll see what you got done before you go home.

Location: Pretoria West, Gauteng. Applicants who already live in the area get looked at first. Shifts rotate, so you'll need to be flexible about days and nights.

The work, day to day

Keep the logbook and tachograph or telematics records up to date
Drive planned routes and stop only at approved truck stops
Check the load is secured, strapped or sealed before leaving the depot
Carry out fuel stops with the fuel card and keep the slips
Complete border paperwork at Beitbridge, Lebombo or other posts
Follow hazchem rules, placards and emergency procedures on tanker loads

You'll need

At least 3 years on Code 14 trucks
Valid PrDP (G for goods, D for dangerous goods on tankers)
Passport for cross-border routes
Medically fit, including eyesight
Clean driving record with no serious accidents
Valid Code 14 (EC) licence
