Job Description

The road is your office with a coal haulage contractor based in Epping, and the load gets there because of you. People who do well here are steady, honest and not scared to ask when something is unclear.

You'll report in Epping. Relocation is not covered for this one. Start date: as soon as possible for the right person.

What you'll actually do

Complete border paperwork at Beitbridge, Lebombo or other posts
Do a full pre-trip inspection: tyres, brakes, lights, couplings and fluids
Keep the cab clean and report defects at the end of each trip
Drive planned routes and stop only at approved truck stops
Check reefer temperatures and record them on cold-chain loads

You'll need

Able to be away from home for several nights at a time
Valid Code 14 (EC) licence
Clean driving record with no serious accidents
Medically fit, including eyesight
Passport for cross-border routes

Helpful, not essential

Experience on a specific trailer type (tanker, tipper, reefer)
Defensive driving course
