Job Description

The road is your office with a cross-border transport company based in Germiston, and the load gets there because of you. You'll work with a small crew, so being easy to work with matters as much as skill.

You'll report in Germiston. Relocation is not covered for this one. You'll start with a short induction before working on your own.

The work, day to day

Deliver to customers and get proof-of-delivery signed and stamped
Carry out fuel stops with the fuel card and keep the slips
Follow hazchem rules, placards and emergency procedures on tanker loads
Log driving hours and take the required rest breaks
Do a full pre-trip inspection: tyres, brakes, lights, couplings and fluids

Must-haves

Medically fit, including eyesight
Able to be away from home for several nights at a time
Valid PrDP (G for goods, D for dangerous goods on tankers)
At least 3 years on Code 14 trucks

Nice if you have

Dangerous goods training certificate
Clean record on a telematics driving score
