Job Description

You'll plan the loads and watch the trucks for a distribution depot in Tembisa, keeping every trip on time. It suits someone who likes knowing exactly what a good day's work looks like.

Home base is a distribution depot on the Tembisa side of Gauteng.

What your day looks like

Update customers on delivery times and delays
Assign trucks and drivers to routes and track them on telematics
Arrange breakdown recovery and replacement vehicles
Capture trip sheets, fuel and toll costs on the system
Plan daily loads to use full truck capacity

Must-haves

Clear on the phone with drivers and customers
Calm and decisive when things go wrong
Able to work shifts in a 24-hour control office
Matric
At least 2 years in transport or logistics
Knowledge of South African road freight regulations

Helpful, not essential

Experience on a vehicle telematics platform
Transport management system (TMS) experience
