Job Description

Experienced Code 14 drivers are in short supply, and a long-haul freight fleet in White River is hiring. This is a good step for someone who wants proper routine and a manager who notices good work.

This post is White River-based, with most of your time spent at a long-haul freight fleet. There's a probation period of three months before the contract is confirmed.

What your day looks like

Keep the cab clean and report defects at the end of each trip
Drive planned routes and stop only at approved truck stops
Carry out fuel stops with the fuel card and keep the slips
Deliver to customers and get proof-of-delivery signed and stamped
Log driving hours and take the required rest breaks
Check reefer temperatures and record them on cold-chain loads

You'll need

At least 3 years on Code 14 trucks
Clean driving record with no serious accidents
Passport for cross-border routes
Able to be away from home for several nights at a time

Extra points for

Knowledge of SADC border routes
Dangerous goods training certificate
Clean record on a telematics driving score
