Job Description

Long hours, clean record, safe arrival every time: that is what a cross-border transport company in Secunda pays for. It's a practical job: you'll see what you got done before you go home.

This post is in Secunda (Mpumalanga). Please only apply if you can travel there daily. Overtime comes up in peak season and is paid.

What you'll actually do

Do a full pre-trip inspection: tyres, brakes, lights, couplings and fluids
Check the load is secured, strapped or sealed before leaving the depot
Report breakdowns, delays and incidents to the controller immediately
Complete border paperwork at Beitbridge, Lebombo or other posts
Check reefer temperatures and record them on cold-chain loads

What you need

Able to be away from home for several nights at a time
Valid PrDP (G for goods, D for dangerous goods on tankers)
Clean driving record with no serious accidents
Passport for cross-border routes

Overnight and subsistence allowance on trips
