Job Description

Long hours, clean record, safe arrival every time: that is what a long-haul freight fleet in Secunda pays for. People who do well here are steady, honest and not scared to ask when something is unclear.

What you'll actually do

Follow hazchem rules, placards and emergency procedures on tanker loads
Check the load is secured, strapped or sealed before leaving the depot
Keep the logbook and tachograph or telematics records up to date
Log driving hours and take the required rest breaks
Drive planned routes and stop only at approved truck stops

You'll need

Medically fit, including eyesight
Valid Code 14 (EC) licence
Passport for cross-border routes
Valid PrDP (G for goods, D for dangerous goods on tankers)
Able to be away from home for several nights at a time
At least 3 years on Code 14 trucks

Nice if you have

Defensive driving course
Experience on a specific trailer type (tanker, tipper, reefer)
