Job Description

The road is your office with a cross-border transport company based in Ermelo, and the load gets there because of you. If you like clear targets and knowing where you stand, this is for you.

This post is Ermelo-based, with most of your time spent at a cross-border transport company.

The work, day to day

Deliver to customers and get proof-of-delivery signed and stamped
Carry out fuel stops with the fuel card and keep the slips
Keep the cab clean and report defects at the end of each trip
Log driving hours and take the required rest breaks
Check the load is secured, strapped or sealed before leaving the depot

What you need

Passport for cross-border routes
At least 3 years on Code 14 trucks
Valid PrDP (G for goods, D for dangerous goods on tankers)
Valid Code 14 (EC) licence
Medically fit, including eyesight
Able to be away from home for several nights at a time

Nice if you have

Experience on a specific trailer type (tanker, tipper, reefer)
Defensive driving course
