Bus Driver (Staff Transport, PrDP P) – Permanent

Early starts, clear routes and people depending on you: a mine shift transport service in Secunda is hiring bus drivers. If you learn fast and don't mind being shown things twice, you'll settle in within a few weeks.

You'll be based at a mine shift transport service in Secunda. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps. Most weeks are 45 hours, in line with the BCEA.

• Inspect the bus before each trip: tyres, brakes, doors, emergency exits
• Drive fixed routes and keep to the timetable
• Give tourists a friendly welcome and help with luggage on charters
• Check passenger tickets, tags or staff cards when boarding
• Keep the bus clean inside and report any damage

• Punctual for very early starts
• At least 3 years of bus or taxi driving
• Patient and friendly with passengers
• Valid PrDP for passengers (P)
• Valid Code 10 or Code 14 licence

• Fluent in more than one language
• First-aid certificate

• Company uniform
• Paid passenger PrDP renewal
• Split-shift allowance on staff transport routes
• Tips and trip allowances on tour charters

• Talk about safety records in the interview. Bus companies want to hear about zero accidents and on-time runs.
