Job Description

The road is your office with a cross-border transport company based in Alberton, and the load gets there because of you. People who do well here are steady, honest and not scared to ask when something is unclear.

This post is Alberton-based, with most of your time spent at a cross-border transport company.

What your day looks like

Drive planned routes and stop only at approved truck stops
Carry out fuel stops with the fuel card and keep the slips
Log driving hours and take the required rest breaks
Do a full pre-trip inspection: tyres, brakes, lights, couplings and fluids
Keep the logbook and tachograph or telematics records up to date

Must-haves

Valid PrDP (G for goods, D for dangerous goods on tankers)
Medically fit, including eyesight
Clean criminal record
Passport for cross-border routes

Nice if you have

Knowledge of SADC border routes
Experience on a specific trailer type (tanker, tipper, reefer)
