Job Description

The road is your office with a fuel distribution fleet based in Ermelo, and the load gets there because of you. It's a practical job: you'll see what you got done before you go home.

The site is in Ermelo; early starts mean public transport timing matters, so check your route before applying. Start date: as soon as possible for the right person.

What you'll actually do

Log driving hours and take the required rest breaks
Carry out fuel stops with the fuel card and keep the slips
Do a full pre-trip inspection: tyres, brakes, lights, couplings and fluids
Check reefer temperatures and record them on cold-chain loads
Keep the cab clean and report defects at the end of each trip
Check the load is secured, strapped or sealed before leaving the depot

You'll need

Valid Code 14 (EC) licence
Clean driving record with no serious accidents
Clean criminal record
Passport for cross-border routes
Able to be away from home for several nights at a time

Helpful, not essential

Knowledge of SADC border routes
Experience on a specific trailer type (tanker, tipper, reefer)
