Job Description

Long hours, clean record, safe arrival every time: that is what a cross-border transport company in eMalahleni pays for. It suits someone who likes knowing exactly what a good day's work looks like.

The site is in eMalahleni; early starts mean public transport timing matters, so check your route before applying. Start date: as soon as possible for the right person.

What you'll actually do

Check the load is secured, strapped or sealed before leaving the depot
Log driving hours and take the required rest breaks
Follow hazchem rules, placards and emergency procedures on tanker loads
Do a full pre-trip inspection: tyres, brakes, lights, couplings and fluids
Carry out fuel stops with the fuel card and keep the slips
Report breakdowns, delays and incidents to the controller immediately

What you need

Able to be away from home for several nights at a time
Valid Code 14 (EC) licence
Passport for cross-border routes
Valid PrDP (G for goods, D for dangerous goods on tankers)
At least 3 years on Code 14 trucks

Defensive driving course
