Job Description

Experienced Code 14 drivers are in short supply, and a coal haulage contractor in Mbombela is hiring. It suits someone who likes knowing exactly what a good day's work looks like.

Location: Mbombela, Mpumalanga. Applicants who already live in the area get looked at first.

What your day looks like

Deliver to customers and get proof-of-delivery signed and stamped
Check the load is secured, strapped or sealed before leaving the depot
Keep the cab clean and report defects at the end of each trip
Carry out fuel stops with the fuel card and keep the slips
Log driving hours and take the required rest breaks
Check reefer temperatures and record them on cold-chain loads

You'll need

Clean driving record with no serious accidents
Clean criminal record
Able to be away from home for several nights at a time
Passport for cross-border routes
