Job Description

Home every night: a building-supplies merchant in eMalahleni needs a steady Code 10 driver for daily routes. Expect to be trusted with real work from your first week.

The site is in eMalahleni; early starts mean public transport timing matters, so check your route before applying. Overtime comes up in peak season and is paid.

The work, day to day

Collect cash or cheques on COD deliveries and bank them correctly
Check the truck's oil, water, tyres and lights before leaving
Fill in the trip sheet with kilometres, fuel and stops
Operate the truck-mounted crane to offload bricks or pallets
Deliver to shops, sites and homes on your route
Check the load against invoices before signing it out

What you need

Honest with cash and customer goods
Clean driving record
Valid PrDP for goods (G)
Good knowledge of roads in and around the city
At least 2 years driving rigid trucks
Valid Code 10 (C1) licence

Extra points for

Experience on a sales-and-delivery route
Crane or HIAB operator certificate
Speaking local languages on township routes
