Job Description

Experienced Code 14 drivers are in short supply, and a cold-chain logistics fleet in Polokwane is hiring. This is a good step for someone who wants proper routine and a manager who notices good work.

This post is Polokwane-based, with most of your time spent at a cold-chain logistics fleet. Hours are mostly Monday to Friday, with the odd Saturday in busy months.

What your day looks like

Do a full pre-trip inspection: tyres, brakes, lights, couplings and fluids
Check reefer temperatures and record them on cold-chain loads
Check the load is secured, strapped or sealed before leaving the depot
Log driving hours and take the required rest breaks
Report breakdowns, delays and incidents to the controller immediately
Carry out fuel stops with the fuel card and keep the slips

What you need

Clean criminal record
Able to be away from home for several nights at a time
Clean driving record with no serious accidents
Valid PrDP (G for goods, D for dangerous goods on tankers)
At least 3 years on Code 14 trucks
Passport for cross-border routes
