Job Description

Trucks, drivers, loads and deadlines all meet on your screen at a road freight company in Polokwane. This is a good step for someone who wants proper routine and a manager who notices good work.

Home base is a road freight company on the Polokwane side of Limpopo. Most weeks are 45 hours, in line with the BCEA.

What you'll actually do

Capture trip sheets, fuel and toll costs on the system
Update customers on delivery times and delays
Book vehicle services, licence renewals and roadworthy tests
Phone drivers when trucks stop too long or go off-route
Arrange breakdown recovery and replacement vehicles

What you need

Knowledge of South African road freight regulations
At least 2 years in transport or logistics
Clear on the phone with drivers and customers
Matric
Able to work shifts in a 24-hour control office

Nice if you have

Logistics or supply chain certificate
Transport management system (TMS) experience
