Job Description

Long hours, clean record, safe arrival every time: that is what a cold-chain logistics fleet in Soweto pays for. Expect to be trusted with real work from your first week.

This post is Soweto-based, with most of your time spent at a cold-chain logistics fleet.

What your day looks like

Keep the logbook and tachograph or telematics records up to date
Check reefer temperatures and record them on cold-chain loads
Drive planned routes and stop only at approved truck stops
Carry out fuel stops with the fuel card and keep the slips
Do a full pre-trip inspection: tyres, brakes, lights, couplings and fluids

You'll need

Clean driving record with no serious accidents
Passport for cross-border routes
Valid PrDP (G for goods, D for dangerous goods on tankers)
Clean criminal record
Valid Code 14 (EC) licence
Able to be away from home for several nights at a time

Nice if you have

Defensive driving course
