Job Description

Long hours, clean record, safe arrival every time: that is what a cold-chain logistics fleet in Tembisa pays for. Someone who likes a bit of variety, but also likes doing things the right way, will enjoy this.

The work is in Tembisa, Gauteng, so you'll need a reliable way to get there every day. Overtime comes up in peak season and is paid.

What you'll actually do

Keep the logbook and tachograph or telematics records up to date
Complete border paperwork at Beitbridge, Lebombo or other posts
Check reefer temperatures and record them on cold-chain loads
Do a full pre-trip inspection: tyres, brakes, lights, couplings and fluids
Log driving hours and take the required rest breaks

You'll need

Clean criminal record
Medically fit, including eyesight
At least 3 years on Code 14 trucks
Valid Code 14 (EC) licence
Clean driving record with no serious accidents
Passport for cross-border routes

Helpful, not essential

Experience on a specific trailer type (tanker, tipper, reefer)
Knowledge of SADC border routes
