Job Description

Experienced Code 14 drivers are in short supply, and a long-haul freight fleet in White River is hiring. If you turn up on time and finish what you start, you'll fit in quickly.

This post is White River-based, with most of your time spent at a long-haul freight fleet.

What your day looks like

Keep the logbook and tachograph or telematics records up to date
Report breakdowns, delays and incidents to the controller immediately
Complete border paperwork at Beitbridge, Lebombo or other posts
Follow hazchem rules, placards and emergency procedures on tanker loads
Do a full pre-trip inspection: tyres, brakes, lights, couplings and fluids
Deliver to customers and get proof-of-delivery signed and stamped

Must-haves

At least 3 years on Code 14 trucks
Passport for cross-border routes
Valid Code 14 (EC) licence
Clean criminal record
Able to be away from home for several nights at a time

Nice if you have

Defensive driving course
Experience on a specific trailer type (tanker, tipper, reefer)
Dangerous goods training certificate
