Code 14 Flatdeck Driver (Steel Loads) – Immediate Start

Long hours, clean record, safe arrival every time: that is what a coal haulage contractor in Worcester pays for. You'll work with a small crew, so being easy to work with matters as much as skill.

Home base is a coal haulage contractor on the Worcester side of Western Cape. There's a probation period of three months before the contract is confirmed.

• Report breakdowns, delays and incidents to the controller immediately
• Follow hazchem rules, placards and emergency procedures on tanker loads
• Do a full pre-trip inspection: tyres, brakes, lights, couplings and fluids
• Keep the logbook and tachograph or telematics records up to date
• Check the load is secured, strapped or sealed before leaving the depot
• Check reefer temperatures and record them on cold-chain loads
• Deliver to customers and get proof-of-delivery signed and stamped

• Medically fit, including eyesight
• Clean driving record with no serious accidents
• Able to be away from home for several nights at a time
• At least 3 years on Code 14 trucks

• Expect a driving test with a real truck. Arrive rested and do your pre-trip check out loud so the assessor sees it.
• Put your licence code, PrDP expiry date and years on Code 14 in the first three lines. Transport managers scan for those first.
