Job Description

You'll move heavy loads between Pinetown and depots across the country for a cross-border transport company. You don't need to be the loudest person in the room, just the one others can count on.

Home base is a cross-border transport company on the Pinetown side of KwaZulu-Natal.

What your day looks like

Check reefer temperatures and record them on cold-chain loads
Drive planned routes and stop only at approved truck stops
Deliver to customers and get proof-of-delivery signed and stamped
Follow hazchem rules, placards and emergency procedures on tanker loads
Carry out fuel stops with the fuel card and keep the slips
Complete border paperwork at Beitbridge, Lebombo or other posts

You'll need

Valid PrDP (G for goods, D for dangerous goods on tankers)
Passport for cross-border routes
Clean driving record with no serious accidents
Medically fit, including eyesight
Valid Code 14 (EC) licence
Able to be away from home for several nights at a time

Nice if you have

Knowledge of SADC border routes
Clean record on a telematics driving score
Dangerous goods training certificate
