Code 14 Interlink Driver (Cross-Border)

Experienced Code 14 drivers are in short supply, and a cold-chain logistics fleet in Secunda is hiring. Someone who likes a bit of variety, but also likes doing things the right way, will enjoy this.

This post is Secunda-based, with most of your time spent at a cold-chain logistics fleet. Shifts rotate, so you'll need to be flexible about days and nights.

• Complete border paperwork at Beitbridge, Lebombo or other posts
• Follow hazchem rules, placards and emergency procedures on tanker loads
• Check reefer temperatures and record them on cold-chain loads
• Drive planned routes and stop only at approved truck stops
• Log driving hours and take the required rest breaks
• Keep the cab clean and report defects at the end of each trip

• Valid PrDP (G for goods, D for dangerous goods on tankers)
• Clean driving record with no serious accidents
• Able to be away from home for several nights at a time
• Valid Code 14 (EC) licence

• Clean record on a telematics driving score
• Defensive driving course
• Experience on a specific trailer type (tanker, tipper, reefer)

• Monthly safe-driving and fuel-saving bonus
• Provident fund and medical aid option
• Well-maintained trucks with sleeper cabs
• Overnight and subsistence allowance on trips

• Put your licence code, PrDP expiry date and years on Code 14 in the first three lines. Transport managers scan for those first.
• Be honest about accidents or fines. Companies check your driving record anyway and trust drivers who tell them upfront.
