Code 14 Interlink Driver (Cross-Border)

Experienced Code 14 drivers are in short supply, and a long-haul freight fleet in Tembisa is hiring. It's a practical job: you'll see what you got done before you go home.

You'll be based at a long-haul freight fleet in Tembisa. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps.

• Do a full pre-trip inspection: tyres, brakes, lights, couplings and fluids
• Drive planned routes and stop only at approved truck stops
• Follow hazchem rules, placards and emergency procedures on tanker loads
• Log driving hours and take the required rest breaks
• Complete border paperwork at Beitbridge, Lebombo or other posts
• Deliver to customers and get proof-of-delivery signed and stamped

• Able to be away from home for several nights at a time
• Clean criminal record
• Passport for cross-border routes
• At least 3 years on Code 14 trucks
• Clean driving record with no serious accidents

• Defensive driving course
• Experience on a specific trailer type (tanker, tipper, reefer)
• Knowledge of SADC border routes

• Well-maintained trucks with sleeper cabs
• Overnight and subsistence allowance on trips
• Monthly safe-driving and fuel-saving bonus

• Expect a driving test with a real truck. Arrive rested and do your pre-trip check out loud so the assessor sees it.
• Be honest about accidents or fines. Companies check your driving record anyway and trust drivers who tell them upfront.
